Professional rappers don’t have a great history with video game music. Games like Grand Theft Auto and NBA Street have had amazing soundtracks, but they’ve mainly compiled existing material. Some of the best rap songs in games, like PaRappa the Rapper, the DK Rap, and Sonic Adventure 2’s “Wild Canyon” and “Pumpkin Hill,” weren’t even made by A-listers.

On Grand Theft Auto Online: The Cayo Perico Heist however, producer Flying Lotus has his own fictional radio station and one of his favorite artists to feature, MF Doom, is also one of the best to ever do it. On “Lunch Break,” Doom the villain raps, “Outside, it could be young boys tradin’ shots/You could make a lot, stay alert, it’s equator hot.”
