What’s a song anymore really? Just sounds for our ears? The new Jack White video, “Servings and Portions from my Boarding House Reach,” seems to think so, as the four-minute Third Man film jumps to a new idea about every 10-15 seconds. Granted, the video could truly just be “servings and portions” of a record to be announced titled Boarding House Reach, but the possibility that this is a song in of itself is equally as intriguing.
If “Servings and Portions from my Boarding House Reach” is truly a new idea for what songs could be, or what songs are now, then please take the unnecessary time to completely analyze what is happening here, as it is entirely possible that this is what music is going to sound like now.
